Wireshark ip tracker12/17/2023 They key to that is noticing the tab that appears at the bottom which says Reassembled IPv4 (8980 bytes). It shows a combination of the contents (and size) of the last fragment to arrive ( 134 bytes), but it also shows the reassembled packet in all its glory ( 8980 bytes). The most important information is in the last entry ( #7 for the request and #14 for the reply). it is set (1) in all but the last fragment (0).Flags - MF bit - More Fragments means that there are additional packets coming in after this one.the value for the first fragment will be 0.This field tells the reassembling device where in the original packet to place the data from each fragment (after stripping the L2&元 headers). Fragment offset - once all the fragments have been received, they need to be put back in the correct order. It's what tells the reassembling device which fragments make up the original packet. Identification - this value identifies a group of fragments. How do I read all of that?Ī few fields in the IP header are of particular interest, so here's a quick refresher: I have a couple mind-boggling examples from the real world though, but I'm saving those for later. GNS3 allows you to take live packet captures on any link (extremely handy) and it's also a very controlled environment. The ping command on Linux or Windows will put 9000 Bytes inside the ICMP packet, resulting in a 9028 Byte IP packet. One tiny bit of information: a ping command in IOS with a size of 9000 will calculate the ICMP payload so that the total IP packet is 9000 Bytes in length. As the link between those two routers runs a 1500 MTU, this bad boy has to be fragmented. Errr, what? Worry not, it shall all be explained below! What's the capture about?įirst thing's first, the screenshot above shows a capture of a ping between two routers in GNS3 with a size of 9000. You can see a bunch of fragments, which it says are Reassembled in #7, but packet number 7 has a size of 134. It always looked dodgy to me and I didn't make the effort to make some sense out of it. Up until recently, I have to shamefully admit, I had no idea how to read a Wireshark capture of fragmented packets. It also might cause engineers to lose their sanity while troubleshooting weird problems. It's what happens when a big packet spawns a lot of smaller baby packets because the MTU is not big enough, be it anywhere in transit (IPv4) or only at the source (IPv6). As you might know from my Instagram posts, I've recently restored and cleaned my workshop. I have tried to find some pix of the hammering process from the old days but haven't turned anything up as yet.You could have split giant redwoods with the log splitter. Clearly they can be used for hand saws too. On the subject of the saw anvil itself I think these seem to be primarily intended for hammering circular saws and could be either convex, concave or flat. Just out of interest I saw this hammer up for sale recently, apparently unused! Taking that further to our humble handsaw it seems to be that we should be using the smaller end of the hammer spectrum as the type of bandsaw to which they are referring is not the one we use on our workshop machines. However, I particularly noticed in the information put up in previous posts by RayG, DSEL74 and LS Barker 1970 that there were warnings not to use the same large size hammers on bandsaw blades as circular saws. The band saw clearly has similar requirements (or limitations if you prefer) in that the front edge of the blade must not be longer than the back edge otherwise it will wander in the timber. That is not a parameter of the hand held saw, at least not at the speed at which I saw. It is subject to centrifugal force and heat, both of which will tend to expand it's diametre and overall size while ever it is hot. A circular saw has a certain requirement from hammering because it is a high speed tool. Whilst there are clear parallels between the different types of saws I think we have to be a little careful in assuming we can directly cross from one to another. I am not sure, but I suspect that it can only be achieved in high carbon steel in the same manner as tempering can only be achieved in the heat treating of high carbon steel (as opposed to mild steel that is.) In the first instance we are correcting something that has passed it's elastic limit, but in the second we are creating rigidity and that is what we call tensioning. I would like to reiterate IanW's distinction between the straightening of a plate resulting from damage or misuse and the technique of tensioning. Interesting, though I don't know what way to hit a bent saw to make it straight, I wonder is it possible to shrink a spring steel blade where needed?Ī very interesting thread so thank you to macq for starting it off. The top of your rail track looks similar in one direction at least. The guy who sold it had larger versions set up around his workshop with stands to hold big circular blades level with the anvil, they were the same on top, not dead flat but convex. The Anvil has a slight convex shape to it. And I have two friends with similar anvils. I bought a Peter Wright Saw smith's anvil off a saw smith, with a saw smith's vice if that's the right name for it ,its a leg vice with a deep 9" throat and extra wide jaws. So it looks like I have to get my anvil flat somehow, and check to see that it is at the right height, to help improve my results.Ĭan anyone else offer some advise or show and tell us of their saw doctoring tools and methods of fixing wonky saws? It was said in another thread by Rob Streeper that the face of the anvil needs to be flat for best results, which makes good sense.Īlso the anvil height needs to be suitable so that the hammer face is at the correct angle (flat) when making contact with the blade. The hammers I have, vary in their head shape and weight. This is how it came for $5 from an auction years ago. The (anvil) I have is just a 28" long by 2 3/4" wide piece of rail iron mounted 3' high on a home made stand, The saws I have are numerous and of all shapes, lengths and manufactures. There are at least 3 things required for this activity: a (clean) wonky saw, an anvil and a hammer. I've read a fair bit about saw doctoring from books and the internet, and have had a go at straightening some of the wonky blades thatĪre at my place with reasonable results in most cases. bent, kinked, warped, curved, twisted and s shaped that are the last to be (restored). There seems to be quite a few of us that end up with a lot of old saws in all conditions, and it is sometimes the ones that have the wonky bladesĮ.g. As there has been a bit mentioned in other threads about straightening saws and anvils, I thought I would start a new thread about saw anvils. Minimalist artists 1960s12/17/2023 Around that time, LeWitt also discovered the work of the late 19th-century photographer Eadweard Muybridge, whose studies in sequence and locomotion were an early influence. In 1955, he was a graphic designer in the office of architect I.M. During this time he studied at the School of Visual Arts while also pursuing his interest in design at Seventeen magazine, where he did paste-ups, mechanicals, and photostats. LeWitt moved to New York City in 1953 and set up a studio on the Lower East Side, in the old Ashkenazi Jewish settlement on Hester Street. Shortly thereafter, he served in the Korean War, first in California, then Japan, and finally Korea. After receiving a BFA from Syracuse University in 1949, LeWitt traveled to Europe where he was exposed to Old Master paintings. His mother took him to art classes at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford. LeWitt was born in Hartford, Connecticut to a family of Jewish immigrants from Russia. He has been the subject of hundreds of solo exhibitions in museums and galleries around the world since 1965. LeWitt came to fame in the late 1960s with his wall drawings and "structures" (a term he preferred instead of "sculptures") but was prolific in a wide range of media including drawing, printmaking, photography, painting, installation and artist's books. Solomon "Sol" LeWitt (Septem– April 8, 2007) was an American artist linked to various movements, including Conceptual art and Minimalism. In particular Germany and the Nordic countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland) earmarked significant new assistance in the past months. When focusing on committed military aid, the EU countries continue to catch up, and now surpassed the U.S. Moreover, Ukraine can rely on the large previously pledged multi-year programs. The main remaining group of active donors are individual European countries, such as Croatia, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland, as well as NATO countries like Canada and the United Kingdom. In the period between August and October 2023 the amount of newly committed aid dropped sharply, with the value of new packages totaling just EUR 2.11 billion –the lowest amount since January 2022. Ukraine now increasingly relies on a core group of donors such as the US, Germany, and the Nordic and Eastern European countries that continue to pledge and deliver both financial aid and important weaponry, such as F-16 fighter jets. Newly committed aid has researched a new low between August to October 2023 –an almost 90 percent drop compared to the same period in 2022. Anker flare review12/17/2023 Within each mode, you can choose sub-features, like Glow, Music sync, Fusion, or Pulse, all of which do slightly different things. And of course, you can get a little more granular with the LED lights in the app-choose between Chill, Bedtime, Spring, Energy, or Party modes. Not only is there a basic Bass Boost setting, you can switch between presets like Voice, Flat, or Chill-each preset provides a basic illustration of the frequency ranges it's altering. You can use the Flare without the free Soundcore app, but downloading the app allows you to update firmware (which we did, and the process was seamless and relatively quick), control basic playback settings, and adjust the EQ. This is more or less the norm for portable Bluetooth speakerphone mics, so it's not a major negative-but fielding calls on the Flare on a regular basis might require some patience from the person on the other end. Using the Voice Memos app on an iPhone 6s, we could understand every recorded word, but there were fuzzy audio flaws on the recording, and the mic sounded distant and quiet. The speakerphone mic offers so-so intelligibility. Below the playback button, there's a bass button for enhancing the low-end, and at the top, a button for controlling the LED lights-pressing it multiple times adjusts the hues and patterns, or eventually disables it. To the left and right of it are plus/minus controls for volume. The top, rubberized panel houses a central play/pause button that also controls track navigation when tapped multiple times, as well as call management for the speakerphone function. It's impressive, to say the least, to find all of these features combined in a budget model.Īlong the back of the speaker, there's a rubberized panel housing the power and pairing buttons, as well as a covered section that protects the micro USB port for the included charging cable, as well as a 3.5 aux input (there's no included audio cable, however). IPX7 means the speaker can withstand immersion in up to one meter in water. The Flare's IPX7 rating adds even more value. Internally, dual 6-watt drivers deliver audio in all directions. The bottom panel is rubberized to keep it from dancing around tabletops when vibrating with bass, and the LED panel is a 360-degree strip at the bottom. The main outer panel is wrapped in a handsome cloth grille-a classy touch that's a little more sophisticated than the materials we typically see on sub-$100 speakers. Measuring roughly 5.9 by 3.5 (HW) inches and weighing in at just over a pound, the Flare has a cylindrical shape that widens at the base and stands upright. And as far as audio goes, the Flare does a solid job of projecting clear, rich sound at higher volumes than you would expect for its size and price, earning our Editors' Choice in the process. Even without the LEDs flashing, the speaker looks sophisticated and cool-and is somehow also waterproof. At $59.99, however, the Soundcore Flare represents the most affordable model we've tested to date. Best Hosted Endpoint Protection and Security Softwareīy now, Bluetooth speakers that also put on LED light shows are not a new thing-we've seen multiple examples from JBL and Razer. Destiny 2 item manager sort same12/17/2023 It is also used within an artifact's repository to separate versions from each other. Do we want the junit:junit of 2018 (version 4.12), or of 2007 (version 3.8.2)? In short: code changes, those changes should be versioned, and this element keeps those versions in line. groupId:artifactId denotes a single project but they cannot delineate which incarnation of that project we are talking about. version: This is the last piece of the naming puzzle. In the case of the above project, my-project lives in $M2_REPO/org/codehaus/mojo/my-project. Along with the groupId, the artifactId fully defines the artifact's living quarters within the repository. It, along with the groupId, creates a key that separates this project from every other project in the world (at least, it should :) ). Although the groupId is important, people within the group will rarely mention the groupId in discussion (they are often all be the same ID, such as the MojoHaus project groupId: ). artifactId: The artifactId is generally the name that the project is known by.In the example given, the group lives within the directory $M2_REPO/org/codehaus/mojo. The dots are replaced by OS specific directory separators (such as '/' in Unix) which becomes a relative directory structure from the base repository. When stored within a repository, the group acts much like the Java packaging structure does in an operating system. It is, however, a good practice to follow. Note that the dot-notated groupId does not have to correspond to the package structure that the project contains. Group ID's do not necessarily use the dot notation, for example, the junit project. For example, all core Maven artifacts do (well, should) live under the groupId. groupId: This is generally unique amongst an organization or a project. This marks a specific place in a repository, acting like a coordinate system for Maven projects: The three fields act much like an address and timestamp in one. groupId:artifactId:version are all required fields (although, groupId and version do not need to be explicitly defined if they are inherited from a parent - more on inheritance later). The POM defined above is the bare minimum that Maven allows. This is unlike a build.xml file, where tasks are almost always dependant on the lines executed before it. If some external force causes the lifecycle to skip the Ant plugin execution, it does not stop the plugins that are executed from doing their magic. Whereas a build.xml tells Ant precisely what to do when it is run (procedural), a POM states its configuration (declarative). For example, by configuring the maven-antrun-plugin, one can embed Apache Ant tasks inside of the POM. That is not to say that the POM cannot affect the flow of the lifecycle - it can. It is the declarative manifestation of the "who", "what", and "where", while the build lifecycle is the "when" and "how". The POM contains all necessary information about a project, as well as configurations of plugins to be used during the build process. That is currently the only supported POM version, and is always required. This is a listing of the elements directly under the POM's project element. In fact, in the Maven world, a project does not need to contain any code at all, merely a pom.xml. It is a one-stop-shop for all things concerning the project. A project contains configuration files, as well as the developers involved and the roles they play, the defect tracking system, the organization and licenses, the URL of where the project lives, the project's dependencies, and all of the other little pieces that come into play to give code life. When in the presence of Maven folks, speaking of a project is speaking in the philosophical sense, beyond a mere collection of files containing code. It is an XML representation of a Maven project held in a file named pom.xml. AuthorWrite something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview. ArchivesCategories |
